Build your own addons Intro
PROJECT: Build your own add-ons and widgets.
In this two part article, we show you two different types of Add-ons/Widgets you can create. Depending on your area of expertise you can create either design widgets or MUCOW widgets.
You edited your video on your smart device or using Adobe Premiere from your Adobe Creative Suite. All that's needed is to encode your video, upload it and add it to your website.
Understanding the basics of encoding can ensure that you keep the right balance between video file size and video quality. With a little bit of background knowledge you will be able to balance the various encoding variables to find the perfect video encoding recipe for your videos.
Typically these widgets use one or more of the basic widgets built into Muse as a foundation that is then modified to create a new and useful variant of that widget. You can use various base widgets in combination to achieve surprising results.
Design widgets are ideal if you do not feel confident with coding your widgets.
MUCOW widgets are Muse Configurable Options Widgets and are coded using XML. If you have a basic knowledge of code, you should be able to make MUCOW widgets.
The great benefit of MUCOW widgets is you have the flexibility to use custom code to build entirely new features for Muse.
