We have built menus with the built-in functions and effects in Muse now we are going to add a bit of sparkle to the plain old menu widget.

Please note that this widget has now been updated. Whiltes the use principle has changed the aestheics have been updated.

The Magic Menu widget pack is more about the hover state than anything else. Adding some eye-catching animation to the tabs is a great way of grabbing the attention of the user as they browse.

Remember though you want to ensure that your menus match the intended audience perception of the site and are not just there because we can do it. That being said let's have some fun with some of the effects we can add.

You will need:

  • A blank Muse site (just use the presets for the desktop)
  • The Quick Coming Soon Page Library Installed
  • Take a look at the completed widget:
